Nocooking cooking

Honestly, I have a passion for not cooking😂(what kind of passion is thissss?!)

But, my biologist side-a side where my major of study should result to something-was screaming and arguing that "if I do cook my own food, it enables me to be involved, in every step of the ingredient-selection process" And today I'm going to cook for my anemia patient (wkwk).

Based on what I read on Healthline.com no food will cure anemia but some diets can help to get more iron that can manage the anemia. Well, not literally "cooking" like what's written as title. It's a no-cooking cooking means that not all the ingredients will fully be cooked. It's such a simple level of cooking with not too much effort.

Yeah, Salad!

Salad is the best option. Not to mention my patient easily gets a sore throat, and greasy meals will make it worse

Adding iron-rich food to the diet can help to treat anemia. So, these are the ingredients
- spinach
- boiled potatoes
- steamed broccoli
- curly kale
- seeds (pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds)
- tuna or salmon
- cheese
- yogurt
- olive oil

NEXT, How to cook, raw or boiled(?)

Let me be honest, the 21-year-old me doesn't understand how to serve a salad in the right way. I saw several videos about salad, but they just boiled all the vegetables without knowing the basic knowledge of it or at least questioning themselves "Why do I cook it all?" 
That's why I browse several journals and articles about how to cook vegetables properly. I rewrote the sentences here so you guys are able to understand the reason behind cooked or raw salad.

According to Lauren McGuckin, an accredited practicing dietitian and spokesperson for the Dietitians Association of Australia, it is not as black and white as it's made out to be.


I will simply blame her if something happens to my patient

Because of the sensitivity of some nutrients, eating raw broccoli has a higher nutritional value than cooking it. "Raw dark green veggies, for instance, broccoli, is going to have a slightly higher iron value," McGuckin said

So, keep the broccoli and kale on raw condition
While the cooking process can decrease the nutrient content of some vegetables, McGuckin said that other vegetables are actually more nutritious when lightly cooked.
Besides enhancing flavor, cooking vegetables can enhance the nutrients and make them easier to digest -- potatoes, for example,” McGuckin told HuffPost Australia.

Spinach contains oxalates, which can inhibit the absorption of the iron within this iron-rich veggie. Cooking can help to reduce the oxalate content"

So, Next, Boil the red spinach

Then, I mixed them up in the lunch box, grate some cheese, pour the salad dressing cream and wrap them with aluminum foil to avoid browning which may occur to my potatoes

Also, I was supposed to cook salmon with Olive oil but I worried that it might not serve as well as the real chef does, hehe (Better not I guess)

Well, it's actually not a testimony. Hmm, I'm not really sure about the taste, for me personally, I prefer eating them with cheese only since I don't like salad cream sauce.

Of 500 grams I made, the patient left around 50 grams uneaten without reason explained😅
Whatever 🤷‍♀️ one thing that I am concerned about is only the output, he gets better.

My patient seemed to enjoy our journey without feeling tired, that's the point.
