Birthday

As mentioned on the title, I want to know what is your opinion about birthday?

Well, just a month ago, I celebrated my birthday🙌 yeah, for me it just another dramatic day🙅 Most of Indonesian teenager claimed that birthdays are days where it is acceptable to be a bit selfish. So my birthday basically is the day when all things are about me and myself, haha.

Last year I celebrated my birthday in Vietnam, and this year I was in Medan for XLFL's workshop and celebrated it with my XL's pals. And to be honest, I'm surprised, how did they know about my birthday(?) Bcs, unlike usual I already turned my birthday notification off in every social media which may have the possibility of spreading the notification to my friends about my birthday.

You might wonder "Why Chal?"

Well, there's no specific reason behind it, it just me who won't be so exaggerated by making it too special. But I'm truly happy, I look at several old pictures and realized how blessed I am, Alhamdulillah

Back from Medan, I got a surprise from BDMTeam  (minus Popy)

My mind goes complicated lately. I think my birthday was so easssyyyhh when I was younger,  I used to wish the wishes bluntly, even the day before and BAM, I got it immediately.

Now, if I could wish for one thing. I only crave for a special birthday package which is consist of a Self-esteem magic powder, a fiscal stabilizer and an instant thesis maker

Hehehe. I know, its a joke

Overall, I'm happy that I'm turning 22 in a healthy condition, that I was able to celebrate it with my inner circles, read a hundred wishes from my close friends and received gifts. Now I know, True friend doesn't need any notifications

Talking about a gift, this year, I got the most unique gift, ever

Guess what?

So, Let's start from the beginning. At first, I need to unwrap the brown paper which my name and address clearly wrote there. I had no idea what it was, it was strangely light, lighter than an empty lunch box, not even reach 500grams I guess. By that, I was so clueless. I was just casually sitting on the bed, wondering Do I say something which probably translated as a gift clue for the sender

Anyway, I think it will be fun if I put several sender's confessions toward the gift itself while I review this package.  I got the sender's permission already. So, here's what the sender been said

Haha, yeah, no wonder, you are an eejit😒

Aaak, there's no need to trouble yourself with this. And actually Tiki, Jnt or Jne able to provide the packaging if you ask the officer there

After the brown paper unwrapped, then I found a white box wrapped with bubble wrap and there some quirky handwritings caption written by black marker on it.

That "really lawyer-like" comment made me think, "does the sender gave me UUD?"

I didn't know John Titor but now I know and wonder why he should contribute to my gift, huh (?) and what does he mean by saying so-called by proportional gift HAHA

Another note after I unwrapped the bubble.  Relax, I don't receive it in damaged condition honestly, it's neat as it is.

One more note?! HAHA

The way this eejit sender put a note on every single side of the gift made me feel like the sender was here. It's like the sender handed me directly. HAHA. Ok, let's jump up to the most awaited moment 

As you can see, even tho covered by the bubble wrap, the Weather Resistance Phone Holder box still noticeable, so, I assumed the idea came from our recent conversation about the Importance of driving safely, we babbled about stupid cultures on the road and talked about people who seem driving like  an 'uncultured sw*ne', so on and so forth. 

I also received a note of reasons why the sender considering giving phone holder as a gift. (the note is unattached here).

Turned out... There's a plot twist at the end, that I found no phone holder inside the box. but this

What you've seen above is the result only, whereas in fact to get a shape like that, I must assemble it first like an origami. Amazing! I took around one hour and a half to finish it including reading and understanding the instruction sheets while laughing off over my unexpected gift. Even tho I'm a science student, I never heard 'Foldscope' before. Not even once 😆😆😆😆😆😆

Here's an explanation about Foldscope which I found from Wikipedia. 

A Foldscope is an optical microscope that can be assembled from simple components, including a sheet of paper and a lens. It was developed by Manu Prakash and designed to cost less than US$1 to build. It is part of the "frugal science" movement which aims to make cheap and easy tools available for scientific use in the developing world.

Knowing that gift buying is never easy. I was flabbergasted, mesmerized, blissful and happy. I will keep this unique yet weird gift on my daily backpack. I called it unique because you know, in the era of garden-related or women's accessories gifts are commonly chosen, The sender chose a foldable microscope. 

Again, it's the cutest gift I've ever received before. I can say thank you but a tight hug sounds interesting, virtually ofc😏
